Ever tried jelly welly relay races, marshmallow spitting, holding your breath in a bowl of custard, or eating hotdogs from a nappy? Well that's just some of what goes on every Friday evening from 6.30 - 7.45 during term time at Kidz Klub. Over 40 children between the ages of five and 11 join us for an hour of wacky messy games, and funky lively songs about how great God is. Then during silent seats, we learn the four most important points in the world from the Bible and how to live our lives.
We pray each week, thanking God for all he's done, and asking him to help us live for him.
Building a child's self esteem and confidence, helping them to be the best they can be and encouraging their skills and gifts are all important. Positive incentives are given to the children each week as good behaviour is rewarded with prizes!
We also visit every child each week - to see how they're doing, chat with them about their week and give them an activity sheet for the next week's klub. In this way we can support the children in their home situations, develop relationships with parents and carers, and be seen as a part of the community.
Wacky games are part of the fun each Friday evening.
